Bedford Woman Injured After Vehicle Strikes Tree

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was injured after she lost control of her vehicle on the snow-covered roads Thursday morning.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, 65-year-old Janet Ritchey was traveling north on Avoca Eureka Road near North Pike Road and had came to a stop at the top of the hill to proceed down the hill slowly when her 2010 Chevrolet Equinox began sliding.

Ritchey, of Bedford, told police she couldn't control the vehicle and it slide off the west side of the road and struck a tree.

Ritchey complained of chest pain following the incident.
