Bedford Man Suffers Back Pain After Crashing Car

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was injured after he dropped a cigarette and crashed his vehicle into a utility pole on Saturday night.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, 44-year-old Shannon Lagenour of Bedford was traveling north on Avoca-Eureka Road and was attempting to light a cigarette when he dropped it.

While trying to retrieve it, he drove his 2000 Mercury Sable off the roadway about 150 north of John Kern Lane, striking a utility police.

Lagenour complained of back pain.
