(BEDFORD) - An Orleans man was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated after a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Ind. 37 and Patrick Robbins Way Wednesday night.
According to a Bedford Police Department report, when police arrived both vehicles were pulled to the side of the road.
53-year-old Virginia Shoults of Orleans told police that she was stopped for a red stop light at the intersection and the light had turned green and that is when her 2017 Ford Fusion was hit in the rear by a 2004 Jeep Liberty driven by 37-year-old Steven Sanders, of Orleans.
Sanders told police he was traveling south on Ind. 37 and couldn't tell if the vehicle in front of him was moving.
He then rear-ended Shoult's car.
Sanders was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated after he failed a breath and sobriety tests.
No one was injured in the accident.
