(BEDFORD) - The 2017 Relay for Life kicks off in Lawrence County January 23-27.
This year's theme is "Tailgating For A Cure."
This year's goal is to register 23 relay teams, with 275 participants and 65 survivors and raise $45,000 for the American Cancer Society in their "quest for a cure".
The goal is to register during kick off week is to register 10 new or returning teams.
Registration can easily be completed online by visiting www.relayforlife.org/lawrencecountyin.
Relay for Life is challenging registered teams to post team photos to their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/relayforlifeoflawrencecountyin during kickoff week.
The 2017 Relay for Life event is scheduled for Saturday, June 3 at the Parkview track. Events will kick off at 4 p.m.
