(MARTINSVILLE) - The Morgan County coroner is investigating the second worker death this year at an Indianapolis Power & Light power plant near Martinsville.
Coroner Annette Rohlman says the death Monday afternoon at the Eagle Valley Generating Station is being investigated as an accident.
The Morgan County Sheriff's Department released the worker, who was a contractor, was struck in the head after a rigging device failed. His name is not been released.
This is the second death this year, 50-year-old Rickey Brewer, of Danville, died of blunt force trauma in a March. Brewer was a contractor at the construction site of the new combined-cycle gas turbine power station on Blue Bluff Road.
