Vehicle Rolls After Driver Attempts To Avoid Deer

(BEDFORD) - A Heltonville man was injured after he swerved his Jeep to avoid colliding with a deer and the vehicle rolled.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, 24-year-old Sosh Dalton was traveling north on River Road in a 1998 Jeep Cherokee when he noticed a deer in the roadway.

Police say Dalton swerved to avoid hitting the deer and lost control of the vehicle causing it to go over an embankment and roll. The vehicle stopped on its wheels.

Dalton suffered minor abrasions to his face and arms and complained of chest pain.

An AMR ambulance, Shawswick and Guthrie Volunteer Fire Department, Bedford Fire Department extrication and Stat Flight medical helicopter were alerted.
