(BEDFORD) - A Norman man was injured after his truck flipped after sliding on the slick roads early Saturday morning on U.S. 50 East and Fairview Mundell Road.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 22-year-old Heath Chris Wilks was traveling east on U.S. 50 East in his 1988 Chevrolet truck during the freezing rain which caused the road surface to be slick. The truck ran off the roadway, spinning and crashed into a ditch on the north side of the highway.
The truck flipped landing on the driver's side.
Wilks suffered lacerations to his wrist and was taken by ambulance to St. Vincent Dunn Hospital for treatment.
