Norman Man Injured In Two-Vehicle Accident

(BEDFORD) - A Norman man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 16th and R streets on Tuesday morning.

According to a Bedford Police report, 33-year-old John Blundy had stopped his 2008 Mitsubishi Galant at a stop sign on R Street and then pulled into the path of a 2004 Cadillac Escalade EXT driven by 40-year-old Melissa Crider, who was traveling south on 16 Street.

Crider told police she couldn't get her vehicle stopped in time to avoid the collision

Blundy complained of head pain and was taken to IU Health Hospital for treatment.

Crider was not injured during the incident.

Assisting at the the scene was an IU Health Hospital ambulance and Bedford Fire Department extrication unit.
