(MITCHELL) - A Mitchell man was arrested after he allegedly slapped a woman in the face.
Lawrence County Police arrested 47-year-old Jody Benham on a charge of domestic battery.
According to a Lawrence County Superior Court I probable cause affidavit, the incident happened Saturday night at a home in the 6700 block of Ind. 60 West.
When police arrived at 7:19 p.m. a woman told them Benham had slapped her with his right hand on the left side of the face during a domestic fight.
Benham was taken to the Lawrence County Jail and posted a $505 cash bond and was released.
