Indiana Pacers, Jakks Pacific Toys Team With Bloomington Police Department To Distribute Toys To Needy Children

(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana Pacers and Jakks Pacific Toys Team with the Bloomington Police Department to Distribute Toys for the Holidays Jakks Pacific Toys Chairman and CEO Stephen Berman and his close friend Herb Simon, owner of Pacers Sports & Entertainment, have teamed up for the seventh holiday season to offer toys to Hoosier children.

Bloomington Police Department will receive 3,000 toys for local children.

A press conference is scheduled for Wednesday, at 2:30 p.m. at Bloomington City Hall to officially kick off the Pacer's Toy Giveaway.

Speakers include Mayor John Hamilton, BPD Chief Mike Diekhoff, and representatives from the Pacers organization. Also in attendance will be the Pacer's mascot, Boomer, the Fever mascot, Freddy Fever, and the Pacemates.

The toys will be distributed to a number of local organizations who have identified needy children in the Bloomington area.
