I-69 Announces Permanent Road Closure Of Vernal Pike Access To State Road 37

(BLOOMINGTON) - The I-69 Development Partners Team announces that Vernal Pike access to and from State Road 37 will be permanently eliminated.

As the new Vernal Pike Overpass is nearing completion, the traffic signal at the intersection of Vernal Pike and SR 37 will be removed. Vernal Pike access to and from SR 37 will be permanently eliminated on or after January 3, 2017, weather permitting. SR 37 will not be permanently interrupted during this access closure.

Traffic will access West Vernal Pike and Industrial Road by utilizing the SR 48/Third Street exit, west to Curry Pike or by utilizing the SR 46 exit, west to Curry Pike. Traffic from Bloomington will be able to utilize the new Vernal Pike overpass.
