(LOOGOOTEE) - A former Loogootee Police officer was arrested on Wednesday on charges of sexual misconduct with a minor and patronizing a prostitute.
According to a e Martin County Sheriff's Department press release, officer and caseworkers with the Department of Child Services investigated allegations that an officer had participated in sexual misconduct with a minor and also employed the use of a prostitute.
The investigation led to the arrest of 51-year-old Glen Akles of Loogoote. He is being held in the Martin County Jail.
Police say the case is still under investigation.
