(UNDATED) - Indiana Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division Director Danny L. East has announced the promotion of Indiana Conservation Officer Cpl. Angela Goldman to the rank of Lieutenant to serve as district commander for operational District 6, which includes 9 counties in south-central Indiana.

Lieutenant Goldman is a native of Fairland, IN and a 1991 graduate of Triton Central High School. She attended Purdue University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in both Forest Management and Wildlife Management in 1995.

Goldman began her law enforcement career in 1998 upon graduation from the 26th Indiana Conservation Officer Recruit School. She has held assignments in Allen, Marion and Monroe Counties.

During her career, Goldman has served the Department as Corporal, Public Information Officer, Boat Accident Investigator and Field Training Officer.

"Lt. Goldman has prepared herself well for the district commander position. She brings a great balance of job knowledge, training, and leadership experience to her new position that will enable her to make a smooth transition", said Capt. Tim Beaver, South Region Commander.
