Brown Co. Junior High Students Place Second In 'We The People' Civic Competition

(NASHVILLE) - Brown County Junior High School students placed second in We the People, the Indiana Bar Foundation’s premiere civic competition.

According to a pres release, more than 300 eighth-grade students versed in the U.S. Constitution and American history competed in the state finals Tuesday in Indianapolis.

The program teaches students in fifth, eighth and 12th grades about civic competence and responsibilities. They testify in mock congressional hearings before community members who volunteer as judges.
