(BLOOMFIELD) - A Springville woman was arrested on a warrant for domestic battery.
Police arrested 39-year-old Amy Myers on a Level 6 Felony charge of domestic battery in the presence of a child. She is being held on a $4,000 bond.
According to a probable cause filed by Greene County Sheriff Department Deputy Blake McCamey, a male victim came to the Green County Sheriff's Department to report an alleged battery after he and Myers were involved in a domestic dispute.
The male told police that Myers grabbed a hold of his chest, pushing him across the room and grabbing him by the throat. Photographs were documented of the male's injuries, showing scratches on the left and right side of the neck and scratches on the front upper part of the chest.
"(The victim) stated he went down stairs to go to church. (He) went upstairs to get the keys and Myers grabbed him again," McCamey wrote.
Myers reportedly grabbed the victim by the left bicep and shirt. leaving scratches and bruises.
During this altercation, a child in the house reportedly witnessed it happening.
The male told police he repeatedly asked Myers to let him go, but she refused.
The male told police the child got upset and punched Myers in an attempt to get her off of the victim.
"(The male) stated Myers let him go and stated that 'you better find another place to live because if not, I'm going to call the cops and say stuff, so you better watch out,'" McCamey wrote.
The male told police he was fearful Myers would attempt to fabricate a police report stating he had done something to her.
The male provided police with an an audio recording from his phone of the incident, which corroborated his story.
Myers was contacted for an interview at the Greene County Sheriff's Office for an interview. There she stated she had pushed the male out of the bathroom and told him to leave, but never grabbed him but the neck and didn't know how he got the scratches. She also claims she never threatened to call police.
Police also interviewed the child who corroborated the male's story.
