Last updated on Wednesday, November 23, 2016

(SALEM) - The Salem High School Class of 2019 will host a Silent Auction fundraiser today during the Salem vs. West Washington Basketball game.

The auction items will be set up outside the high school cafeteria and the auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. All bidding will end prior to the start of the varsity boys' game.

Donated items include: A 14K gold diamond and ruby ring donated by Kristi and Brian Humphrey; a pair of Anne Klein Sunglasses and a free vision screening donated by Eye Associates - Mindy Gunn; hair products donated by Hair Elite; a gift certificate for a dozen Jo Mamma Cinnamon Rolls donated by Jo Ann Richardson; a gift certificate for a cake by Cake Kreations, Kim Kiefer and more.

All proceeds will go to the Holly Humphrey Scholarship at the Washington County Community Foundation.

Holly was a member of the SHS Class of 2019 and planned to attend college to pursue a degree in the medical field. Through this scholarship, each year a Salem High School student will receive financial assistance to pursue a career in the medical field. Holly passed away last June, but she left lasting legacy for her classmates and her community.

For more information on this event or to donate an item, please contact Melissa Richardson at 812-844-8620. Monetary donations are also accepted through the Washington County Community Foundation. To donate, log onto www. wccf.biz and click on donate now.
