Rodney Fish Picked As New Lawrence County Commissioner

(BEDFORD) - The Republican Party of Lawrence County conducted a caucus Monday night at 6 p.m. at the F.O.P headquarters at Murray Forest Park and elect Rodney Fish to fill Chris May’s District 1 seat on the Lawrence County Board of Commissioners.

Fish will begin serving as commissioner today

May resigned his District 1 commissioner seat to claim the District 65 House seat in the Indiana General Assembly .

Fish defeated 11 other candidates, winning on the third ballot over Jack Kenworthy and Janie Craig Chenault.

Fish, a lifelong native of Lawrence County, has been active in civic affairs through the Bedford Jaycees, Lawrence County 4-H (past president), Bedford Free Methodist Church, St. Vincent Dunn Hospital Board of Governors (current chairman), NLCS Board of Trustees (past president), Board Member Springville Feeder Auction.

His is a business partner at Standish Farm Supply and says he will be accessible to the public.
