(MITCHELL) - A Mitchell woman was arrested after police say she dealt meth in the presence of a child.

Lawrence County police arrested 21-year-old Casey Voorhies on a warrant for dealing meth, possession of meth, neglect of a dependent and maintaining a common nuisance.

According to a Lawrence Superior Court I probable cause affidavit, Voorhies sold meth twice to a Lawrence County Police Department confidential informant twice. The purchases totaled 3.27 grams of meth.

Police say one of the drug deals happened in the presence of Voorhies' child.

Voorhies is being held in the Lawrence County jail on a $50,000 surety or $5,005 cash bond.
