(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana University Police arrested a student after he reportedly chased a skunk and beat it to death in front of T.I.S. College Bookstore Friday night.

Police arrested 18-year-old Andrew L. Baldini, of Carmel, who is an associate member of a nearby fraternity, on a charge of animal cruelty.

Baldini told police the fraternity has had problems with skunks outside the house. He said that a skunk made its way onto the fraternity's basketball court and he chased it down and beat it to death with a shovel.
