(BLOOMINGTON) - Four Indiana cities, including the city of Bloomington, are asking a judge to toss suits brought by conservative activists against the cities' lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender protections.

The Indiana Family Institute and American Family Association of Indiana are suing under the United States federal law that "ensures that interests in religious freedom are protected law.

The cities say since no one has a case of actual religious discrimination to argue, the conservative groups don't have the legal standing to sue.
