Bedford Woman Suffers Head Pain After Vehicle Went Off Road

Last updated on Wednesday, November 30, 2016

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was injured after she told police another vehicle caused her to drive her vehicle off Ind. 37 Tuesday morning.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, 31-year-old Emily Sanchez of Bedford was traveling southbound on Ind. 37 when she says a silver-colored car made an unsafe lane movement causing her to over correct her 2008 Chevrolet Impala and travel into the median on the north side of Ind. 37 and stop in the median.

The impact caused the driver's side airbag to deploy in her vehicle.

Police say Sanchez hit her head on an interior component of the vehicle and complained of head pain at the scene. She refused medical attention.

Police say the silver car did not make impact with Sanchez's vehicle.

A witness to the accident confirmed Sanchez's story. The driver of the silver car continued traveling south on Ind. 37
