Bedford Woman Arrested After Allegedly Smacking Mother

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was arrested after she allegedly smacked her mother on Friday.

Bedford Police arrested 39-year-old Johnni Salmon of Bedford on a charge of battery resulting in bodily injury.

At 2:55 p.m., officers were called to a home in the 2900 block of Washington Avenue for a battery report. According to Assistant Chief Joe DeWees, he says Salmon grabbed and then smacked her mother because she was upset after her mother took her to a local dentist office and they wouldn't let Salmon take her dog inside.

The two then left the dentist office and went home where Salmon became upset and got into an altercation with her mother.

The mother was able to flee the home and call police. .

Salmon is being held in the Lawrence County jail on a $5,000 surety or $505 cash.
