(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was injured after her vehicle flipped at the intersection of Ind. 37 and John Williams Boulevard Monday afternoon.

According to a Bedford Police report, Lynnae Joyner of Bedford was traveling north on Ind. 37 when she drove her 2016 Kia Soul through a red light into the path of a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 83-year-old Randall Wallace of Williams.

Joyner admitted to police that she had run the red light and failed to yield the right of way to Wallace.

Wallace was attempting to turn south off John Williams Boulevard onto Ind. 37 when he struck Joyner's car causing it to flip on the driver's side and skid a few feet before rolling over and stopping on the passenger side.

She was trapped in the vehicle, but was able to open the back hatch allowing her and her dog to escape the wreckage.

Joyner complained of pain to her neck and left arm caused by the airbag deploying. Wallace was not injured.

Assisting at the scene was the Bedford Fire Department and IU Health Hospital ambulance.
