Last updated on Thursday, October 27, 2016

(BEDFORD) - In an effort to keep kids safe this Halloween, the Bedford Police Department would like residents to be aware of the location of sex offenders in the City of Bedford.

"While statistics show there's no increased risk to children being targeted on Halloween, it is good practice for every parent to be aware of all possible dangers to their children at all times," says Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley.

The sex and violent offender registry can be found online at www.icrimewatch.net/indiana

Chief Parsley shared the following Halloween Safety Tips:

Walk Safely

Trick or Treat With an Adult

Keep Costumes Both Creative and Safe

Drive Extra Safely on Halloween
