Police Release Photos Of Armed Robbery Suspect

(BLOOMINGTON) - Police have released an updated description of the suspect in Tuesday morning’s Village Pantry armed robbery.

The robbery was reported at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Village Pantry at 275 East Winslow Road.

According to Bloomington Police Capt. Steve Kellams, a man armed with a handgun entered the store and demanded cash from the clerk. The man took the cash and 10 packs of Newport cigarettes and then ran from the store.

No one was injured during the robbery.

The clerk described the robber as a thin black man about 5 feet, 8 inches to six feet tall wearing a zip-up hooded sweatshirt and a black baseball cap, sunglasses and a black bandana over his face. He had on yellow and red Nike shoes with black shoelaces and orange heels and was carrying a red backpack..
