No One Injured After Gun Fired At Bloomington Apartment Complex

Last updated on Thursday, October 20, 2016

(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police say no one was injured after someone fired a gun during a dispute in the parking lot of an apartment complex on South Rockport Road early Wednesday morning.

Bloomington Police Sgt. Brad Seifers says officers were called the 2300 block of South Rockport Road around 3 a.m. after a woman told police she had received a call from a neighbor telling her to return home because a large group of people were causing a disturbance outside her home.

She told police that when she arrived her nephew got out of the car to confront the group and that is when someone hit him in the head.

During the commotion, someone fired a gun at the other end of the parking lot.

The group was gone when police arrived, but they did find several shell casings and damage to one car window.
