Five People Arrested After Police Find Almost 47 Grams Of Meth

(BEDFORD) - Five people were arrested after Bedford Police searched a room in the 1700 block of M Street and found almost 47 grams of meth Wednesday afternoon.

According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers received information about possible drug activity and requested and obtained a search warrant for the location.

When police arrived at 4:10 p.m. they found 32-year-old Elijah Wright, 21-year-old Austin Goen and 38-year-old Brandon Eagan inside the room.

While officers were executing the search warrant, 26-year-old Shawn Flick and 21-year-old Destiny Smith returned to the room.

"They had left to go get food and returned as officers were executing the search warrant," Chief Parsley says. "Also in the room was a 10-month-old baby."

Child Protective Services was called to the scene and took control of the child.

During the search, police found 46.5 grams of meth, marijuana, scales, numerous drug paraphernalia items, syringes, cooking spoons, cash and a .22-caliber handgun.

All five were arrested on three counts of dealing meth, three counts of possession of meth, possession of marijuana, neglect of a dependent and maintaining a common nuisance.
