(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly choked a woman during a domestic fight.
Bedford Police arrested 28-year-old Justin Brown on charges of domestic battery and interfering with a 911 call.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers were called to the home in the 200 block of N Street after a report of a domestic dispute.
When officers arrived they could hear yelling coming from inside the home.
"Through a window they could see a man standing over a woman," Chief Parsley says.
When the officers knocked on the door, Brown answered.
The woman told police Brown had held her down by the neck and wrist during an argument and he broke her phone when she attempted to dial 911.
Officers arrested Brown and the woman did not seek medical attention following the incident.
