(BLOOMFIELD) - AT&T is now covering more Greene and Owen County areas with its 4G network. Customers in Bloomfield and Scotland in Greene County; and areas near Spencer and the state park northeast of town in Owen County can now get faster internet in more places.

We enhanced 4 cell towers in Greene and Owen counties with extra 4G LTE capacity. This is like adding more lanes to a highway carrying traffic from a customer's device to the cell tower, resulting in faster speeds and more reliable service. The cell towers are located near:

  • U.S. Highway 231 & 175 South Street, Bloomfield
  • Olive Branch Road & County Road 200 E, Scotland
  • Rocky Hill Road & Livingston Lane, Spencer area
  • State Road 46 & County Road 350 E, near State Park area
"While all of our citizens benefit from these kinds of mobile internet improvements, our first responders and job creators may benefit the most," said State Rep. Jeff Ellington. "It's great to see that AT&T continues to invest in rural and urban communities alike, all across the state." "Our customers are living their lives on the go. We know they rely on mobile internet every day. That's why we're extending our 4G network for Greene and Owen County residents and businesses," said Bill Soards, president of AT&T Indiana. "We want to help them get the most out of their mobile devices - whether they're watching videos, texting, or using social media." AT&T has invested nearly $2 billion in its wireless and wired networks in Indiana between 2013 through 2015, driving a wide range of upgrades to reliability, coverage, speed and performance for residents and business customers. We constantly invest in our network to give customers the high-quality services they need to stay connected. This helps Indiana residents get the best possible experience over the AT&T network, whether at home, at work or on the go.
