(WORTHINGTON) - A Worthington man was arrested after he allegedly sent sexually explicit photos to a teenager.

Greene County Police arrested 35-year-old Nicholas L. Powell on Wednesday on felony charges of child solicitation and dissemination of matter harmful to minors.

According to police, Powell who is a IU Health Paramedic, sent inappropriate photos to the teenager between June and August.

In August, the teen's parent contacted the Greene County Sheriff's department after the teen's mother found text messages and pictures of a sexual nature on the juvenile's phone.

One of the teens detailed explicit photos he received via text message, Facebook Messenger and KIK -- a WiFi enabled text message app. The teen described images of a female acquaintance of Powell in sexually suggestive positions.

"(Teen) reported (they) originally thought the texts were a joke until (teen) began receiving more texts messages with nude and sexually explicit pictures of Nick and (female)," the probable cause states, noting between eight and 10 photos were sent to the teenager.

In addition to the explicit photos, the teenager told police they had conversations with Powell in which Powell allegedly suggested the teen come to his house and have sexual relations with the woman in the photos -- at one point reportedly suggesting Powell wanted to be present and blindfold the female and warning the teen not to tell anyone because Powell would be in trouble.

Both Powell and the teenager's cell phones were confiscated for a forensic exam.

Police located photos on both Powell and the teenager's phones. Police were able to determine the photos had been taken in Powell's home.

A second teenager told police they had taken a ride with Powell in the summer of 2015 in Powell's new vehicle and during that ride, Powell allegedly asked the teen to perform a sex act on him.
