(BEDFORD) - A Bloomington woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 23rd and J streets Thursday morning.

According to a Bedford Police report, 57-year-old Jane Terrill of Bloomington was traveling east on 23rd Street and told police she had just moved to Bedford and didn't know the streets very well. She told police she failed to see the stop sign at 23rd and J streets and failed to stop. That is when her 2003 Oldsmobile Alero was struck in the passenger side by a 2003 Dodge Durango driven by 28-year-old Julia Harper, of 2884 Mount Pleasant Rd.

Police say Harper had stopped at the stop sign at 23rd and J streets and had started to take off when Terrill failed to stop for the stop sign and struck her vehicle in the side.

Harper was not injured. Terrill complained of chest pain.

Assisting at the scene was an IU Health Hospital ambulance and Bedford Fire Department extrication unit.
