Two Edinburg Men Arrested After Police Find 135 Grams Of Meth

(SEYMOUR) - Two Edinburgh men were arrested in Seymour after police found 135 grams of meth inside a vehicle Sunday morning.

According to a Jackson County Police report, 23-year-old Gerardo Jimenez and 32-year-old Bernardo Jimenez were arrested on charges of dealing and possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a handgun without a permit.

At 4 a.m. Sunday, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a 2003 Ford Expedition after he noticed the vehicle traveling recklessly near the 4000 block of U.S. 50.

During the stop, the officer asked the driver, Gerardo, to step out of the vehicle. When Gerardo did, the officer noticed he was carrying a loaded handgun, which he did not have a permit.

Gerardo also was carrying meth and a large amount of money, according to the release.

During a search of the vehicle, police found about 135 grams of meth inside the SUV and another loaded handgun, paraphernalia and scales inside.

Both people were booked into the Jackson County jail.
