One Point Separated Z102 Persimmon Idol Contestants, Troy King And Kylee Santiago Claim Titles

Last updated on Monday, September 26, 2016

(MITCHELL) - There was only 1 point separating Z102 Persimmon Idol winner and second place in both divisions.

After overcoming a CD hiccup at the start of his Jon Bon Jovi song "Who Says You Can't Go Home", Troy King was able to outscore Amanda Bockting of Mitchell by one point. Amanda gave an amazing performance singing "Once and for All" by Lauren Diagel.

There certainly is a future for all the Youth Division Idol contestants.

All scores were very close to include the one point spread between La Grange, Kentucky finalist, Faith Dees. Faith gave an amazing performance of Kelly Clarksons "Piece by Piece".

While giving feedback to Faith after her performance, Judge Dawn Keller stated, "you made me cry" and Judge Carmen Cavezza stated, "I don't really know if I can contribute any advice, keep up the great work."

The last performing Youth Division finalist, Kylee Santiago, blew the audience away with her performance of "Foot Prints in the Sand" by Leona Lewis. Santiago went on to claim the youth division title.

Judge Keller added, "you gave me goose bumps" and Judge Cavezza stated that the most important part in performing, to her, was to be able to emotionally connect with audience at such a young age.
