Last updated on Friday, September 2, 2016

(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana University music student Jordan Cain, is the grand prize winner of IES Abroad’s Film Festival.

Cain's film, "Even in Europe..." is a light-hearted take on a semester abroad in Europe that documents the highlights of the experience through dance.

In Jordan's words: "These are the highlights of my semester studying abroad in Europe! I took a camera with me everywhere I went and danced, walked, and had fun hanging out in front of the what I thought was beautiful and unique to the city. I also danced in the places I spent my most time while I was studying in Vienna, such as a grocery store called Billa. I am so thankful I had this opportunity to travel and learn about so many different things in the world and this production is my way of communicating my feelings and experiences throughout. Hope you enjoy!"

Study Abroad Film Festival Jury Critique:
"This uplifting and entertaining video is a technically accomplished piece of work. Jordan Cain is a charismatic front man with a winning smile who makes this fun film a joy to watch. The editing is accomplished too and well paced and just as you begin to find the structure a little repetitive - Jordan changes gear and keeps the viewer's interest." - Mara Perbellini, Juror & IES Abroad Milan Film Studies Faculty

Jordan Cain will receive a $1,500 grand prize, and the opportunity to screen his winning film at the IES Abroad Annual Conference in Chicago on October 7. The grand prize winner was selected by the public through a poll on IES Abroad's Facebook page.
