Escaped Juvenile Back In Custody

Last updated on Tuesday, September 6, 2016

(WASHINGTON) - Washington Police say a 15-year-old boy they have been looking for since Friday has been apprehended.

Alex Jorelus fled from the Daviess County Courthouse around 10 a.m. Friday during a court hearing. He was an inmate at the Southwest Regional Youth Village in Knox County and was taken to the courthouse in Washington for a court appearance.

Police spent the Labor Day weekend tracking him down after several reports of sightings of the teen. Most turned up empty, but officers finally located and picked up Jorelus.
