(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington woman was arrested Saturday after she attempted to sell drugs to an 11-year-old girl.

Bloomington Police arrested 58-year-old Allison Head on a Level 6 felony of battery and dealing in a Schedule IV controlled substance.

According to police, the mother of the child called police at 1:45 p.m. after a white, dark-haired woman grabbed her daughter in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 3100 block of South Walnut Street and allegedly attempted to sell the girl Xanax.

A witness confirmed that Head had grabbed the girl's right arm and tried to force her to buy the drugs.

When police found Head, she said that it was a misunderstanding with the girl, but later admitted to both
grabbing the girl and attempting to sell her
"xannies."
