Woman Reports She Was Sexually Assualted While Jogging On Clear Creek Trail

(BLOOMINGTON) - Monroe County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an incident where a female jogger claims she was sexually assaulted Thursday night on the Clear Creek Trail.

The woman told police the incident happened on the trail between Tapp and Rockport roads around 7:20 p.m. The woman says she was jogging when a man grabbed her from behind and wrestled her away from the trail to an open area, threw her on the ground and sexually assaulted her. He then fled and she ran to a nearby home and called 911.

The woman told police she did not know her attacker.
