Two People Injured After Driver Fails To Stop For Red Light

(BEDFORD) - Two people were injured after one driver failed to stop for a red light at the intersection of Ind. 37 and 16th Street Monday afternoon.

According to a Bedford Police report, 44-year-old Jeremy Krause of Phoenix, AZ was traveling north on Ind. 37 approaching 16th Street when the light changed red and he failed to get the 2015 International semi-tractor trailer he was driving stopped and struck a 2017 Ford pickup driven by 80-year-old Charles Evans of Bedford.

Evans was traveling east on 16th Street during the time of the incident.

Krause was not injured during the incident. Evans suffered cuts to his left arm. His passenger, 76-year-old Phyllis Evans of Bedford, suffered an abrasion and bruising to her elbow and lower arm.

Both were transported by ambulance for treatment.

Bedford Fire Department assisted at the scene.
