Three Daviess County Men Arrested After Police Find Drugs

(WASHINGTON) - A call from a concerned citizen Tuesday afternoon led to the arrest of three Daviess County men.

The Daviess County Sheriff's Department received of a report of gunfire and a possible shooting around 2:24 p.m. in the 5470 block of County Road 300 West.

During their investigation police searched the property to determine if anyone had been hurt.

During their search police found approximately 2 oz of crystal meth, marijuana, hydrocodone pills, drug paraphernalia, and three fire arms along with ammunition for those weapons.

Police arrested:

Cedric D. Merritt, 43, of Washington, on seven counts of dealing meth, dealing a schedule II controlled substance, possession of meth, possession of marijuana, possession of a schedule II controlled substance, possession of a gun by a serious violent felon and visiting a common nuisance. He is being held without bond.
James Sutton, 23, of Washington, four counts of maintaining a public nuisance, possession of drug paraphernalia, dealing and possession of meth. He is being held without bond.
Eric Rayman, 20, of Odon, on two counts of conspiracy to commit dealing meth and visiting a common nuisance. He is being held witout bond.

All three are being housed at the Daviess County Security Center.
