(LINTON) - Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana has awarded a $40,000 grant to SON Ministries of Linton to purchase a refrigeration freezer unit to extend its free food program to more areas in Greene County.
SON Ministries sponsors a free food program to feed Greene County's children in need, serving close to 5,000 so far.
A ribbon cutting and check presentation ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday at Linton First Christian Church on State Road 54.
