Public Meeting To Discuss Proposed Project At Intersection Of Tapp And Rockport Roads

(BLOOMINGTON) - The City of Bloomington is hosting a public meeting for anyone interested in learning about or discussing the proposed project at the intersection of Tapp and Rockport roads.

Proposed improvements include a stoplight, a multiuse path on the north side of Tapp Road and Country Club Drive and several sidewalks in the vicinity. Left-turn lanes on Tapp and Country Club at the intersection and onto Pinehurst Drive also are planned, along with improved sight distances.

An open house will be 4:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. Thursday at the Southern Hills Church of Christ at 1030 W. Country Club Drive, followed by a public hearing.

The city of Bloomington, Indiana Department of Transportation and consultant staff will collect feedback and answer questions during and after the meeting.

All comments collected through August 19 will be evaluated and addressed in the final design summary report.
