Police Arrest Man After He Flees In French Lick

(FRENCH LICK) - A Clarksville man was injured after crashing his motorcycle while attempting to evade local police.

Early Saturday morning, French Lick Police observed a Black 2007 Suzuki motorcycle on State Road 145 in French Lick traveling at a high-rate of speed, driving left of center, and passing in a no passing zone.

Officers pursued the motorcycle for seven miles before it crashed into a guardrail on State Road 145 south of County Road 700 South.

French Lick officers provided medical attention before emergency personnel arrived.

The driver, 36-year-old Dustin Fischer, was airlifted to the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY. Fischer was treated for non-life threatening head injuries and broken ribs.

The crash remains under investigation by Indiana State Police, while the pursuit is being investigated by the French Lick Police Department.
