(MITCHELL) - An Oolitic woman was arrested after Lawrence County police say she injured her husband while she was drunk.
Police arrested 71-year-old Terry Wagner on a charge of domestic battery.
According to Lawrence County Sheriff Mike Branham, officers were called to a home in the 900 block of WPA Road just after 10 p.m.
The victim told police his wife had been drinking alcohol at the home all day. At some point she attempted to get another bottle of alcohol from the kitchen but the victim grabbed it so she couldn't drink it. That is when Wagner grab the bottle and clawed the man on his chest and arms.
Sheriff Branham says the man suffered visible scratches. The woman also threatened to kill the man if he didn't give her the bottle. He gave her the bottle and then called police.
Wagner was booked into the Lawrence County jail at 11:11 p.m. She is being held on a $5,000 surety or $505 cash bond.
