(BLOOMINGTON) - Mayors of the communities along Section 5 of the I-69 Corridor will attend the Metropolitan Planning Organization meeting Today for an update on construction progress and timelines.
Bedford Mayor Shawna Girgis, Mitchell Mayor JD England, Bloomington Mayor John Hamilton and Martinsville Mayor Shannon Kohl will gather at Bloomington City Hall, at 1:30 p.m. for the meeting.
Representatives from the Indiana Department of Transportation, the Indiana Finance Authority and construction contractor Isolux will be present to share information about current expected completion dates, ownership status of the various components of the I-69 Partnership and planned open-to-traffic dates for the various overpasses/interchanges in Section 5.
Members of the public are welcome to attend the meeting, although there will not be an opportunity for questions from the public.
