(INDIANAPOLIS) - Twelve 4-H'ers from Lawrence County earned honors after competing at the Indiana State Fair in non-animal projects.

The 4-H'ers who qualified for State Fair include 12 merit winners, which is better than a blue Danish ribbon; two sweepstakes winners, which means they had the best project in the subject area and one top 15 fashion revue. Those 4-H'ers are:

  • Coleen Gabhart won merit and sweepstakes for personality.
  • Megan Lambrecht won merit and sweepstakes for wildlife.
  • Morgan Lambrecht earned honor group and top 15 for fashion revue.
  • Zach Maudlin won merit for three plate garden collection.
  • Carlee Kern won merit for cat poster.
  • Robert Williams won merit for any other craft.
  • Taylor Norman won merit for foods.
  • Mary Batz won merit for foods.
  • Macey Lambrecht won merit for personality and merit for sewing construction.
  • Treva Beasley won merit for sewing construction.
  • Katlyn Hall won merit for sport fishing.
  • Payton Kittaka won merit for sport fishing.

Those who competed at the State Fair in animal categories are not included because they don't have to qualify at the county level to compete at state, and their information was not available.
