(BEDFORD) - The North Lawrence Community Schools robotics club was awarded a start-up grant to establish a robotics club at Stalker Elementary School.
Teachers Connie McDaniel and Connie Wells worked together to write the grant.
The teacher will be looking for students in grades four and five, that would have the maturity to work together to build robots.
The grant was awarded through TechPoint Foundation for Youths' State Robotics Initiative, which seeks to provide hands-on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) learning experiences to Indiana's elementary schools. The grant was funded by Guggenheim Life and Annuity.
