Four Arrested In Drug Investigation

(MITCHELL) - Two people were arrested on drug charges Monday after police found drugs in vehicle, two others were arrested on warrants.

Lawrence County Police arrested 38-year-old Jacob Minton Sr. on charges of possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance.

38-year-old Brandon S. Eagan of Mitchell was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and visiting a common nuisance.

And two other people were arrested on warrants of petition to revoke probation. They were 23-year-old Cayden Zeeks of Mitchell and 21-year-old Jacob Minton II.

According to Sheriff Mike Branham, officers went to a temporary work agency Tuesday at 12:21 p.m. to arrest Zeeks and Minton II on the warrants. While there police learned both were at a home in the 100 block of Woodville Road.

Officers went to the home and two men were found sitting in a vehicle parked in the driveway. Those men were Eagan and Minton Sr.

A K-9 was brought to the home to do a sweep of the vehicle which was owned by Minton Sr.

The dog alerted officers to possible drugs inside. Officers found a black bag containing a plastic baggies, syringes and a spoon that tested positive for having meth reside on it.

Police then searched Eagan's pockets and found cash and two baggies, on which contained marijuana.

Once the two men were arrested, the owner of the home allowed officers to search it for Zeeks and Minton II. Both were located inside the home.
