Last updated on Monday, August 15, 2016

(BROWNSTOWN) - A Brownstown man was arrested Wednesday night after he allegedly strangled and bit his 17-year-old girlfriend because she wouldn’t make him pancakes.

Police were called to a home in the 1300 block of South County Road 150 West after a report of a family fight.

Police arrested Tyler Chaney on felony charges of aggravated battery and strangulation after they say he became mad at the teen because she wouldn't make him pancakes.

A witness to the fight told police Chaney hit the teen several times in the head, bit and choked her until she was unconscious. He then left the home on foot before police arrived.

Police found him at an apartment in the 200 block of West Spring Street where they arrested him without incident.
