UPDATED: Bloomington Police Say Woman Killed During Shooting On South Rogers Street

(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington police have identified the woman killed in a shooting this morning as 26-year-old Brittany Sater.

Sater was pronounced dead at Indiana University Health Bloomington hospital at 9:56 a.m. Police say it is unlikely they will have further updates today.

Earlier- Bloomington Police are investigating a shooting on South Rogers Street.

Officers were called to the 2300 block of South Rogers Street at 12:50 a.m. this morning.

The 26-year-old woman was found at a neighbor's house with a gunshot wound to the chest.

She was transported to Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital in critical condition.

According to Capt. Steven Kellams, investigators are still working to determine what happened and who was involved. Preliminary findings indicate that two suspects possibly a male and female who were known to the victim entered her home and shot her with a shotgun.

Investigators believe the incident started over drugs and that the suspects are no longer in the Bloomington area.
