Bloomington Mayor Announces New Economic And Sustainable Development Director

(BLOOMINGTON) - Local entrepreneur and consultant Alex Crowley has been named by Bloomington Mayor John Hamilton as the new Director of Economic and Sustainable Development for the City of Bloomington.

Crowley will replace Interim Director Linda Williamson. He begins his service on Monday.

Most recently, Crowley was the Founder and served as Managing Director of Excello Solutions, a consulting business focused on bringing strategic planning, analytics, project management and implementation support to its clients. Prior to that he served as Vice President of Business Operations for Insight Communications and has corporate experience with one of the largest global marketing and advertising firms in New York City: Ogilvy & Mather.

"Alex's career has given him a deep knowledge of the telecommunications industry. Locally, he has the invaluable experience of having been an independent business owner. Having worked closely with many types of businesses in his consulting and corporate roles, he brings an understanding of what businesses need to be successful. I look forward to him applying that knowledge to benefit Bloomington's economy," Mayor Hamilton commented.

A graduate of Fordham College in Bronx, NY, Crowley's salary will be $84,848.
